Long Range Plan
In the spring of 2007, the Blessed Sacrament School Board recognized the need to update the school’s long range plan to serve as a guide for the board’s decision making in future years. Over the next several months, the pastor, Fr. David Hoefler, convened a Long Range Planning committee to update the original plan (dating back to 1999), and to establish a long range planning process to facilitate annual review and update of the plan each year going forward.
The Long Range Plan encompasses several areas: Catholic Identity, Curriculum, Development and Public Relations, Enrollment, Facilities, Finances, School in the Community and Staffing. The process of updating the plan included the following activities for each area: 1) review of the 1999 Blessed Sacrament School Long Range Plan and assess the goals and objectives from 1999 to carry over into the 2008 plan; 2) an environmental scan, including SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis; 3) drafting of assessment narratives; 4) writing action plans for years 2008 through 2013.
After completing the tasks noted, with the approval of the pastor, the committee entitled their work the Blessed Sacrament Long Range Plan for 2008 to 2013. Annually, the school board, in consultation with the pastor and the principal, reviews the Long Range Plan and establishes action plans for the school year in several areas. The most recent plan, dated 2015, is below -
