The goal of Blessed Sacrament School’s before and after school care program is to provide parents a safe and structured atmosphere for their children at the beginning or end of the school day. The staff works in conjunction with parents to provide the best possible experience for all students. The program is designed to serve children from preschool through eighth grade. B.A.S.E. offers each child a place with a secure atmosphere and caring, competent staff who understand and are able to meet his or her needs. Various activities such as crafts, games, supervised study time, quiet time and physical activities are provided. Each child will receive a nutritious snack each afternoon.
How much does B.A.S.E. cost? There is a $30 family enrollment charge due at fee night. The cost of the B.A.S.E. program is $7.00 per hour for the first student and $5.00 per hour for each additional student. Students’ time is tracked using a time clock system. Each student signed in and out by a staff member and billing is available in real-time on ezschoolapps.com.
What hours does B.A.S.E. operate? B.A.S.E. is available before school starting at 7:00 a.m. until 7:45a.m. After school hours are from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Students who are picked up after 5:30 p.m. are assessed a $5 per student per minute late fee.
Where is B.A.S.E. located? B.A.S.E. is primarily located in the cafeteria. The B.A.S.E. program also utilizes the gym, library and computer lab. Daily drop off for morning B.A.S.E. and pick up from after school B.A.S.E. is located at the side door between the church and the school. Parents should ring the doorbell labeled “B.A.S.E.” to be admitted during B.A.S.E. operating hours.
What if I only need B.A.S.E. occasionally? Our B.A.S.E. program is great for occasional and drop-in students! If you think that you will need B.A.S.E. at some point throughout the year, we highly suggest signing up at the beginning of the year so that your student is enrolled if ever you need to take advantage of this program.
What if I had a B.A.S.E account balance at the end of the 2022-2023 school year? Positive balances (overpayments) remain in EZ School Apps for application against future charges. Negative balances (amounts due) were transferred to your family tuition statement on 7/31/23. Amounts due should be paid before B.A.S.E. services are used for the 2023-2024 year. If an account balance reaches $250 or greater during the school year, B.A.S.E. services may be suspended until a payment plan is discussed with the school finance office.
On 11:30 dismissal days, there is no after care offered. Additionally, there is no before or after care on holidays.
